FOUR NEW UNIVERSITIES APPROVED BY THE FEDERAL EXECUTIVE COUNCIL

The Federal Executive Council (FEC) on Wednesday in Abuja approved the establishment of four new private universities in Kaduna, Oyo, Ogun and Osun states. The Minister of Education, Adamu Adamu, confirmed this when he briefed State House correspondents at the end of the first meeting of the council in 2019. The meeting was presided over by President Muhammadu Buhari. Education Minister Adamu Adamu According to the minister, the new universities are:

1. Greenfield University Kaduna

2. Dominion University, Ibadan 3. Trinity University, Laloko in Ogun 4. Westland University in Iwo, Osun State

They all satisfied the 14 Steps Requirement for Establishment of Private Universities

This brings the total number of Private Universities in Nigeria to 79
